Saturday morning was
spent at the fishing beach which may not be the most appropriate name for
the place...
Needless to say, none
of us limited out. In fact this was the only catch of the day and the trip
for that matter. And who was the big winner you ask? - it was me of course...
The view of the muddy
water from the fishing beach...
Marie and Nina sat
in the sun with the Maddog.
After lunch we decided
to see if we could get Maddie to swim.
Here she is with her
back feet on the lake bed and her front feet scratching the heck out of
Marie...
Getting better...
OK in too deep - back
to shore...
As time went by Maddie
got better about the water and swam for 30 seconds at a time
Stopping occasionally
for a reassuring hug.
She had not quite figured
out that shaking accomplishes more after you are out of the water...
She did remember to
take her ball with her as she left the water.
Back on solid ground
One last swim before
heading back to camp...
She did much better
than we had expected and we were happy with the progress.
Not sure what it was,
but Cameron found something...
Cameron and Jordan
in the water...
Talk about a mud bath...
Nina on the shore as
Marie, Jordan, Cameron and Maddie swam and I took pictures...
This is a shot of the
log Nina was sitting on from the end where her feet were...
Evidence of recent
erosion as the water levels have been dropping in the lake.
Back at camp and dried
off, Maddie and Cameron enjoyed a game of soccer while I set up the tent.
Maddie was issued a
yellow card for illegal use of mouth...
Mom D'Anna enjoying
the shade.
Maddie in the tent.
Marie opened the door and called her in and she was happy to lay down in
there
Maddie listening to
the rules of tent camping from Marie...
